I'm Gilbert—a photographer, a healthcare researcher, a brother, a partner, and a lover of dogs, bourbon, and putting Tabasco on everything.
I started taking photographs as a little kid when I found my grandmother's old Pentax film camera in the basement; I took it everywhere with me until its eventual death.

Learning photography with film taught me the importance of a single photo. If you flip through my parents' wedding album, you’ll see 50 prints that they will treasure forever—which seems crazy today. As a wedding photographer, I strive to treat every photograph with the same care and reverence, knowing that someone will be treasuring something I created.
